5708- عن السائب بن يزيد، أنه أخبره أن عمر بن الخطاب خرج عليهم، فقال: «إني وجدت من فلان ريح شراب، فزعم أنه شراب الطلاء، وأنا سائل عما شرب، فإن كان مسكرا جلدته»، فجلده عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه الحد تاما
Translate Hadith in English
It was narrated from As-Sa'ib that :'Umar bin Al-Khattab went out t them and said: "I noticed the smell of drink on so-and-so, and he said that he had drunk At-Tila' (thickened juice of grapes). I am asking about what he drank. If it was an intoxicant I will flog him." So 'Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, flogged him, carrying out the Hadd punishment in full

হারিস ইবন মিসকীন (রহঃ) ... সাইব ইবন ইয়াযীদ (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত যে, একদা উমর ইবন খাত্তাব (রাঃ) লোকদের নিকট বের হয়ে বললেনঃ আমি অমুক ব্যক্তির মুখে শরাবের গন্ধ পাচ্ছি। তিনি মনে করলেন, আঙুরের জ্বালানো রস। তবুও আমি তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করবো, সে কী পান করেছে? যদি তা মাদকদ্রব্য হয়, তবে আমি তাকে (শরীআতের হদ লাগাব)। পরে উমর ইবন খাত্তাব (রাঃ) তাকে বেত্রাঘাত করেছিলেন।
